How Many SEAL Teams Are There?

There are 8 official Navy SEAL teams with four on the east coast, Virginia Beach, VA, and four on the west coast, Coronado, CA. The teams on the east coast (SEAL Team 2, 4, 6, 8) are classified under the Naval Special Warfare Command and the west coast, (SEAL Teams 1, 3, 5, 7) under the Naval Special Warfare Group One. These eight teams do not include the SDV, support, or reserve teams.
