The United States Navy SEAL is a special operations force within the U.S. military. It comprises an elite team of specially trained military men capable of operating in various combat environments, including air, sea, and land. Thanks to their special training, they are only deployed for dangerous and highly classified missions threatening U.S. national security. Because of the covert nature of their operations, many people turn to movies to get an idea of how these combat superheroes operate. Without Remorse (2021)
Without Remorse is a movie adaptation of the book by the same title. The storyline weaves around a Navy SEAL team targeted by the Russians after they had successfully rescued a CIA operative. Senior Chief John Kelly managed to ward off a surprise attack by a group of specially trained forces backed by the Russians. Unfortunately, his wife and Navy SEAL colleagues (involved in the successful rescue) did not survive the Russians' meticulous attacks. Senior Chief John Kelly was left with only one objective - to pay back the Russians and do so without remorse.
Zero Dark Thirty (2012)
This movie's storyline follows the hunt for Osama Bin Laden, a former al-Qaeda leader. The heightened emotions and panic following the infamous September 11 attack led to a hunt for Bin Laden. CIA operative Maya (Jessica Chastain) championed this search with a team of U.S. Navy seals and intelligence analysts. The goal was to track down the terrorist, and the movie captured this true-life event with eye-catching fight scenes and flawless editing.
American Renegades (2018)
A failed SEAL mission involving a Serb general left a trail of havoc and damage. And the U.S. military was not happy about this. The result? The SEAL team responsible received a three-day suspension. But instead of bowing their heads, this suspension period leads the SEAL team on an adventure. The adventure was simple; retrieve German gold hidden in a Bosnian bank vault. But it was a complicated mission, as the Germans had flooded the town with water and arrested everyone in the town in an attempt to hide the vault with gold. Get ready for an intense drama and even more havoc.
The Abyss (1989)
A nuclear submarine was ambushed and sunk into the deepest part of the ocean, and there was the need to recover it as fast as possible. This rather uncomfortable and dangerous operation fell into the hands of Lt. Hiram Coffey from the U.S. Navy SEAL. And two petroleum engineers, Lindsey and Harris, were appointed to assist him. Due to the sensitive nature of the mission, it was classified as top secret, but surprising revelations unfurled.
Captain Phillips (2013)
Somali pirates had pretty much taken over the East African sea waters with uncontrolled attacks on ships. An American container ship captained by Richard Phillips had to sail through the a channel before reaching its destination in Mombasa, Kenya. Unfortunately, the route was part of the area under regular pirate attacks. Richard Phillip's ship came under these Somali pirates, and instead of giving in, he led his small crew to defend his ship.
